Google Voice – Conference calling
Conference calling is a system of communication between various parties which works like a telephone call. There are three types of conference calling; audio, video and even web conferencing. Call conferencing is very handy for organisations whose branches are scattered in various parts of the World for keeping in contact or have meetings in regular basis.
There are also pros and cons of having conference calls which are listed below.
One benefit of call conferencing is that it is cost effective. You will be able to invite more than one people to attend your meeting or presentation from various parts of the World other than doing it through the phone individually. Another big advantage of call conferencing is via video conferencing, which allows attendees to view the caller or vice versa, as it is always good to put a face to the voice.
However there are still some negative points to go through if you choose call conferencing- for example: while audio conferencing some of the jokes can be misread or misunderstood into something else by some members of the conference as there will be no facial expression to see. Another disadvantage can be the quality of the call, when you add more and more people to the conference the quality becomes more and more less. One of the benefit of web and audio conferencing is the cost, these services are cheaper than use of video conferencing. Web communication is cheaper than the other services but it is very time consuming as you are communication via texts. Text based communcation in the past has caused a lot of misunderstand between different conferencing members.
Conference calling is one of the best ways of communication within the organisations but it also has its ups and downs.
